An auction recently ended on eBay for an unlisted Wakpominee Lodge #48 neckerchief. Is this an actual lodge issue perhaps a contingent piece for a NOAC or Area event or was is something an individual made up for personal use?
Clicking on the image will bring you to the auction results for the next few months.
Bidding was spirited for this unlisted neckerchief. Five bidders making seven bids for this neckerchief. Three of the sticking in past $ 150.00. the final price was nearly $ 205.00.
The neckerchief does not appear handmade, and contains the camp patch from circa 1960.
Can anyone provide any information on this neckerchief?

I commented on this already on the Facebook Patch Collectors page. This is one of a number of neckerchiefs, all handmade produced for NOAC delegates from Wakpominee Lodge. This neckerchief was produced for the 1963 NOAC. There were four delegates to NOAC that year. Each delegate received one neckerchief. There may have been more made but no record exists. One of the delegate is no longer active and may have moved out of the area. This could have come from one of the professionals active at that time based on the location of the seller. I have my (delegate) neckchief and the delegation’s advisor’s neckerchief. I believe the other delegate (still in the area and active) has his neckerchief. The neckerchief was made by the Council Executive’s wife using one of the then current camp patches sewen over a red felt arrow and felt numbers. The numbers were designed to indicate both Lodge 48 and the 48th National Order of the Conference. As noted the Lodge produced other delegate neckerchiefs for later NOAC’s. All were made by the same seamtress. If interested I can produce pictures and information on the number of delegates. No records were kept on the actual number of neckerchiefs produced for each NOAC. They can be considered official special issues for Wakpominee 48.
Thanks for sharing Bill & Joseph. Fascinating stuff!
