OK, I’m a bit older than 12, but it was 12 years ago today on January 26, 2004 that the New York OA Trader Blog was born on Blogger, with the following mission statement.
The purpose of this blog is to publish information about new Lodge and Chapter issues from New York State OA Lodges, the discovery of older uncatalogued issues, warnings about fakes, spoof, and reproductions and other information/musings that may be of interest to other NY OA Collectors (or at least amusing to me).
Fast approaching 4400 hundred posts have been written since then with thousands of new and newly discovered NYS OA issues being shared with my readers. I’ve added NY OA Conclave issues, NY OA neckerchief slides and belt buckles to my reporting since then.
Thanks to all of you who continue to provide information about new and older issues from your lodges through scans, trades, comments and encouragement. I hope to continue this blog for years to come.
So what is new from your lodge and do you have one to trade?

But there are many ways in which we can work together toward the same goal, and in the present state of opinion there is some danger that our impatience for quick results may lead us to choose instruments which, though perhaps more efficient for achieving the particular ends, are not compatible with the preservation of a free society.â€â€¦ Friedrich Hayek The Road to Serfdom:
Bill,
Great wisdom, great advice and a great service to our Brotherhood of Cheerful Service that you do. Keep it up.
Be Well.
