It is with a heavy heart that I pass along this news. We have lost one of the Good Guys from the collecting and Scouting family this week.
Frank was active throughout his life in the Boys Scouts of America. He was an avid outdoorsman with a particular love for canoeing. His times on the water and in nature were probably the most peaceful of his life. He is also a member of the Masonic Order Wakan-Hubbard Lodge No. 154. He will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and his surprising sense of humor.
Friends are welcome to Frank’s visitation WEDNESDAY 6:00-8:30 PM at Walker Bros Co. Funeral Home 21 S. Main St. Churchville, NY 14428. A remembrance service will follow visitation at 8:30PM. Burial services will be for family members only.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Boys Scouts Juniata Valley Council, 9 Taylor Dr, Reedsville PA 16875; the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge 1400 Winton Rd. N. Suite 1 Rochester, NY 14609; or the American Diabetes Association 160 Allens Creek Rd. Rochester, NY 14618 in Frank’s memory.
My deepest condolences to his wife and family.

I have known Frank McClain for about 15 years. He was a good man. Always a joy to trade (both patches and tales) with him at Scout trading events. Scouting and the collecting hobby lost someone who helped make it fun. I miss him.
