John Pannell shows a Naugahyde arrowhead on his website, OA Images for Ty Ohni Lodge #95 he has it listed as an event patch, the eL1969-3. The image on his site has the arrowhead with a handwritten 1969 on it.
I have one pictured below without the handwritten year.
Mine had a note with it that it was from the 1950’s, but that may well have just been speculation. Can anyone confirm when it was issued and how it was used?

“It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.” – Daniel Webster
I guess whether it is classified as an “L” or “eL” depends on whether (or not) it was issued for an event. Absent a more definitive date (understanding an example exists with hand-written date), the “STAFF” identifier likely denotes working at (or ‘staffing’) a lodge (camporee, or conclave) event. It seems unlikely this piece was issued for general use (what would “STAFF” denote amongst the general membership?). With that said, I would continue with the ‘eL1969’ designation until more is known. My 2 cents. Thanks for your blogs. I always look forward to them.
