Central New York TOR June 10 and 11, 2011

Thanks to Steve Austin and all of the folk from the William Hillcourt Scout Museum and Carson Buck Memorial Library for another successful (for me at least) and enjoyable TOR. I was able to attend this annual event again, but only for the Saturday session.

This year, they moved the event into the dining hall which allowed them to sell more tables than in previous years and all of the tables (approximately 25-30) were still sold out. I understand that some requests for tables had to be turned down. This was despite the fact that several of the adjacent section held there conclave the same weekend.

Personally, I was able to acquire a couple of lodge issue needs, learned about some new issues (which will be appearing in upcoming posts) and acquired a number of Section Conclave needs. Hopefully set up a couple of mail trades in the not to distant future too.

The TOR also included silent and live auctions, with items of mainly local interest.

Thanks to all for the conversations, knowledge and fellowship which were readily shared. Good to see some old and meet some new friends.

I’m marking my calendar for next year.
