Back to some more images from Roy Weatherbee, where the Section boundaries included lodges from both NY and CT. I’m not sure where the conclave was held, nor who the host lodge was and the patches do not provide the information. Does anyone know?
There were at least 2 items issued for the event, a pocket patch
and a jacket patch of the same design:
Roy also believes that there may have been a white bordered version issued as either a staff or VIP patch. Can anyone confirm or provide a scan or trade?
According to the OA Section List, the Lodges in the section at this time were:
- Ranachqua Lodge #4
- Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge #24
- Suanhacky Lodge #49
- Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82
- Aquehongian Lodge #112
- Ktemaque Lodge #15
- Nacha Nimat Lodge #86
- Owaneco Lodge #313
- Achewon Netopalis Lodge #427
- Paugassett Lodge #553
There are 3 Connecticut Lodges in the Section; 313, 427 and 553. The rest are from New York.

“Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men’s protection and the base of a moral existence. Destroyers seize gold and leave to its owners a counterfeit pile of paper. This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values. Gold was an objective value, an equivalent of wealth produced. Paper is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by a gun aimed at those who are expected to produce it. Paper is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account which is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims. Watch for the day when it bounces, marked, ‘Account overdrawn.’ ” – Ayn Rand, “Atlas Shrugged”
it was held at camp keowa at ten mile river scoutcamps near monticello. And if im not mistaken it was either shu shu gah or suanhacky lodge.
Devan,
Definitely not #24. Shu Shu Gah did NE-3A in 2000 and the last NE-2C in 2008. Lodge 49 did the first NE-2C in 2001, don’t think they would have been up again in the rotation so soon.
Heard from John Pritchard:
John wrote: “The conclave was held in late August 2005 at Camp Keowa and Suanhacky was the service lodge. I was the conclave advisor but couldn’t tell you if there were border modifications of the patch.”
