Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 Private Issue Chenille ZC5

One new item I picked up at the Tschipey Achtu Lodge TOR last weekend was a new private Issue chenille. Rob Cunningham advises:

New chenille patch issued by the Seneca Waterways Council Scouting Historical Society to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the first Order of the Arrow lodge chartered in Western New York State. Includes a history of Ty-Ohni Lodge and the merger with Ganeodiyo Lodge in 2009-10 to form Tschipey Achtu Lodge after Finger Lakes Council and Otetiana Council merged to form Seneca Waterways Council. Also included is a list of all OA lodges in New York State formed before 1940 with the dates they were officially chartered.

Since the patch was issued by the Seneca Waterways Council Scouting Historical Society it is considered a Z issue. If the Lodge retrospectively approves it, it would be considered a Historical Issue. 200 numbered patches were produced.

  1. The lodge (Advisor, LEC and Chief) approved it before it was ordered, so it can be considered a historical issue.

  2. 200 Patches were made, they are serial numbered on the back. Patches 176-200 were sewn onto red neckerchiefs and were numbered as well, a number for the patch and a number for the neckerchief on the back of each
