Collecting Order of the Arrow Handbooks has always been one of my collecting interests.  I maintain a checklist of known OA Handbook editions here. Two of the earliest OA handbooks recently ended on eBay. The term Handbook printed on the cover or not are the easiest way to tell the difference on the two editions.

Note that Hand Book is not printed on the cover. In addition to being the earlier version, this particular offering was autographed.

The October 1948 version has Hand Book printed on the cover. It also has 5000–10-48 printed on the bottom of the last page.
