A bit over two years ago, I wrote about what is the toughest issue from Nischa Nitas Lodge #410, the J1. While you don’t see them very often, another Nischa Nitas J1 recently appeared on eBay.
Clicking on the image will bring you to the item for the next few months.
As you might expect, this is a need of mine too.

Sorry guys, this was sold at the Pittsburgh TOR and was in pristine condition.
I believe it was well worth the price. I only know of one other right now (but remember, I am not a New York collector). Dance and ceremonies team issues tend to be a lot tougher than the rest of the lodge issues. Hesitation loses!
Thanks Randy-
Being a NY collector, I can place roughly 4-5 of these. Thanks for affirming the real scarcity of this tough piece. I’ve often wondered why this piece commands so much more than issues with similar rarity nearby (the 2 different Ona Yote #34 Ceremonial team patches and the Gosh Wha Gono #120 elangomat patch). Food for thought.

Ray,
My guess is that there are likely at least two reasons.
The 410J1 is considered ‘classic’ piece rather than a more ‘modern’ issue like the 34 issues. Some folk put more of a premium on the older issues outside of their similar rarity. The 410J1 has a more old school look and feel. There could also be an element of knowledge. The 410J1 is more’known’ to the national collectors than the the similar 34 issues. Knowledge of the 410J1 dates back to the earliest Arapaho, the Ona Yote issues are more ‘recent’ discoveries.
I also suspect there are more general Dance/Ceremonial Team collectors tha Elangomat collectors, which might also help to explain the valuation difference between the 410J1 and 120X.
