The First Scout Troops in Texas

Roger Schustereit shared some information on Patch-L about a website ctreated by Frank Hilton which I think desrerves a wider audience.

For the past several weeks, I have been trying to come up with a project that I could do to contribute something to the Centennial Celebration of the Boy Scouts of America on my West Texas Scouting History website.
Well, the light came on finally, and I have created a whole new section on the website titled “The First Scout Troops in Texas.” Hopefully, over time, others will contribute to this section as new information comes forth. Right now I have identified some 44 communities and their “first Boy Scout troop.” So far, I do not have anything on Houston as the research sources I am using does not include that community. Maybe somewhere out in cyberspace there is something on those first troops in the Gulf Coast area.

Has anyone attempted something like this for New York?
