Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 TOR Report

Trade-O-Ree

Dick Krzyiewski sends along a brief report about the 2009 Ty-Ohni Lodge Trade-O-Ree.

I attended the TOR in Rochester today hosted by Ty-Ohni Lodge 95, John Reed did an excellent job setting up the room. There were 15 tables, about 25 walk-ins and a lot of trading between tables. I picked up some needs for the Museum and made some good contacts for my personal collecting needs of
Wakanda 186 and Camp Gorton items. The walk-ins included some collectors that had been out of the scene for awhile and decided to get back into it, that was very encouraging.
The bulk of the traders were looking for NY CSP’s, Flaps and OA section needs. They did not have an auction, but that was OK due to the quality and amount of items brought by the table holders.
I had an excellent time and even made a few bucks.
Overall I think this TOR has potential, they just need more advertising. It was great to trade with Paul Frietag, Lymon Lyons, Frank Palmissano, Ed Sacks and Scott Bracken…all in attendance.
Looks like one I’ll need to add to my list.  Maybe for 2010.

When a business or an individual spends more than it makes, it goes bankrupt. When government does it, it sends you the bill. And when government does it for 40 years, the bill comes in two ways: higher taxes and inflation. Make no mistake about it, inflation is a tax and not by accident.” –Ronald Reagan
