Prior to the current 4 BSA Regions, there were six and before that, there were 12. New York State, along with New Jersey were part of Region 2. Many of you are likely familiar with the 4-line dome shaped patch.
There are several versions of this patch with and without Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands in various combination’s. Before this grouping however, there were at least two other odd-shaped patches an oval or football shaped patch and a round.
You can see the round patch from 1946 on eBay now under the title Early Region 2 patch. It has a starting bid of $ 9.99, but does have a reserve. It will be interesting to see where this one ends up.
