Matt Schieferstein sent along an image which puzzled me, a chapter issue from Shinnecok Lodge #360 Montauket Chapter. Scratching my head, I couldn’t remember a Shinnecock Chapter by that name. There’s Nathan Hale, Nissequogue, Paumanok, Pentaquit, Pwamas, Seatalcot and Unkechaug; but Montauket?
Well his message cleared it up.
I have also attached an image of the Montauket Chapter A-1. This is a first issue from this chapter after they changed their name from Unkechaug.
I guess they got tired of being last in the chapter roll call at lodge meetings. 🙂
