ISCA Journal June 2008

I’ve written about The International Scouting Collectors Association or ISCA in the past. To me, the primary benefit of being a member, is the ISCA Journal.

A benefit of membership in ISCA is a subscription to The “ISCA Journal”, ISCA’s quarterly publication featuring ISCA functions, Trade-O-Ree information, history of Scouting memorabilia, news of new patches issued, reports on TOR’s, Letters to the Editor and lots more.

Four times a year, you typically get a 48 page magazine with a full color glossy cover chock full of articles and advertisements relating to collecting Scouting Memorabilia.

The June 2008 issue is no exception the full color cover depicts camp patches from Segregated Scout Camps, which is the3 topic of Bob Sherman’s Collecting Camp Patches Column in this issue. Also included is a two page checklist of segregated Scout camps and 4 pages of black and white photos of various issues from these camps.

OA collectors are not left out, there is a regular OA column by Bruce Shelley and Dave Minnihan. Readers of this blog and John Pannell’s blog will be familiar with some (but by no means all) of this information.

Red and White and CSP collectors can also find regular columns to help keep them informed about there collecting niche too. Merit Badge collectors will find a discussion on silk thread versus cotton (look at the back of the badge).

No matter what your collecting niche, chances are there is a column or recent article of interest.

You can only get the Journal by becoming a member of ISCA.
