Back on March 1, 2007 I blogged on Allohakasin University Patches used by Section NE-3B. I had acquired a patch that may have been from NE-3B, now I do not believe that the green and gold patch is from NE-3B, although I do have some updated information.
The purpose of the 2003 NE-3B Conclave report describes Allohakasin Patches and program as follows:
This year at conclave, we implemented a new training program. Allohakasin University was created by our Council of Chiefs to add a new twist to the traditional conclave training. We created five colleges to “major†in; by attending two of three sessions from a chosen college and one session from any college you could a degree. A General Studies degree could also be obtained by attending any three training sessions, no matter what college they were from. On Sunday morning, participants were presented with a diploma and patch if they met the requirements.
The patch pictured in the report has a white border, which I assume is the ‘regular’ patch awarded for completing training.
The 2004 NE-3B Conclave Report elaborates further:
This program was highly successful this year with many participants returning to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. A total of 132 degrees were presented. 74 Associate degrees were earned and 58 people returned to earn a Bachelor’s degree. Next year, the Masters degree will be available to those who have Bachelor’s standing. Trainers – professors – also receive a special edition of this patch and their own diploma. This year over 25 trainers received their special distinction during the Business Meeting.
The 2006 NE-3B Conclave Report explains:
28 trainers – professors – received a special edition of the university patch with a silver mylar
border and their own diploma. They received this distinction during the Business Meeting.
Although difficult to tell in the scan, this patch has a silver mylar border.
Can anyone provide information on any other border colors which may exist?
There are currently 5 different color borders that I am aware of. Each is representative of a “degree” of training a partcicpant has completed.
The list looks something like this:
White – “Associate Degree”
Red – “Bachelor’s Degree”
Dk. Blue – “Master’s Degree”
Yellow – “Doctorate”
Silver Mylar – “Proffessor” (Training staff)
Right now I’m not sure if any other border colors were issued.
Chris,
Thanks for the information, anyone have the Red, Dark Blue and/or yellow borders for trade?
